900E Series Benchtop Temperature Chambers

The 900E Series chambers are designed for high and low temperature simulation where high performance and close temperature tolerance are required. The units are ideal for small lot qualification testing, burn-in, life test, temperature cycling or research and development. All 900E Series are bench models designed for continuous use with ease of operation and maintenance in mind.

Features

Programmable Profiling Interface Control
High-precision microprocessor-based digital ramp programmer provides:

  • Tolerances: System controllability of ±0.3°C (±0.5°F) over the chamber’s entire range; Repeatability and digital setability to ±0.1°C.
  • Ease of Use: Arrow buttons to change setpoint; One press of the DISPLAY button returns you to the normal mode of displaying process temperature and setpoint no matter what other mode you are in.
  • Profiling: Ramping operation includes four recipe files of up to 6 steps each; recipe files can be linked to make a single 24 step program; programs can be set up as either time-based or ramp rate-based; program looping to any step; loops can be repeated from 1 to 255 counts or continuously (infinite loops); guaranteed soak and “wait for input”; one flexible event relay driver which can also be used as an alarm
  • Computer Interface: Controller includes RS232 communication; each chamber includes a DB25 to DB9 cable to connect to your PC . The 982 control can also be configured for multi-chamber network communication.
Superior Heating System - Heater Warranted 5 years
  • Recirculated air is heated by Nichrome wire resistance heaters located behind the conditioning plenum baffle to provide easy access and avoid direct radiation into the workspace.
  • Two hi-limits are provided: an adjustable hi-limit on the front panel and a nonadjustable/ factory calibrated hi-limit located at the rear of the chamber. 
Reliable Cooling System
  • The 900E Series is cooled by expendable refrigerant, either liquid nitrogen (LN2) or liquid carbon dioxide (CO2).
  • A solenoid valve, actuated by the temperature controller, controls the coolant flow into the chamber where it is atomized and evaporated in the circulating air in the plenum before the air is discharged into the chamber workspace.
  • Hose is provided for connecting to cooling source.
  • A relief valve is provided on LN2 cooled units.
Options
  • IEEE488 Converter - An IEEE488 to RS232C/422 selectable converter bus option may be used to interface between the 982 control and an IEEE488 bus controller. The converter works through the 982 interface, allowing complete access to all controller parameters.
  • Ports - Access ports with plugs may be provided in any specified location on surfaces indicated below:
